Contract Awards

Watson & Cox (Construction) Ltd are thrilled to announce that we are continuing our working relationship with Upton Estates and Parkcharm Properties on the final phase of the Alkerton Oaks Business Park. Stefan Glissmann will be once again running things from site, with Darren Wallace Contracts Managing and Richard Westcott QS-ing from the office.

Following successful project completions on the Countryside Management Centre and Replacement Social Centre at Moulton College, works are commencing on their new Registry Building.  Our project team will be Garry Houghton on site, Darren Wilton Contracts Manager and Stuart Finlay QS.  Watson & Cox (Construction) Ltd are very proud to be continuing our  good working relationship with Moulton College.

Completions

Watson & Cox (Construction) Ltd are pleased to announce the following successful project completions in early 2012:

The three storey Replacement Social Centre project was completed successfully for our Client, Moulton College, with specialist fit out and installation elements.

New Oil Storage facility for Barton Petroleum at Oakley, Bedfordshire. Site Manager was Brian Odell with Darren Wallace and Stuart Finlay.

The new purpose built premises on Park Farm, Wellingborough for Alde International UK Ltd. has been completed and handed over 4 weeks ahead of programme. Project Manager was Tony Percival with Stuart Finlay and Darren Wallace. The Client’s official opening ceremony took place with the Mayor & Mayoress on 20 April 2012.


We have completed works to the New Countryside Management Centre for Moulton College; well done to our team of Brain Odell, Darren Wilton and Stuart Finlay.

New Nursery and single storey classroom extensions to St Brendans School, Corby have been completed. Well done to Craig Spencer, Brian Odell, Darren Wilton and Richard Westcott.



Refurbishment works to the Leagrave School and LLRC Building in Luton have successfully been handed over. Our project team consisted of Garry Houghton Site Manager, with Darren Wilton and Bill Gardiner

Health and Safety

Watson & Cox have continued our relationship with The Health & Safety People to provide support with the management and monitoring of Health & Safety and Environmental procedures and employment legislation.  In close liaison with The Health & Safety People, we have completely reviewed our Health & Safety Management System and Environmental Management Systems.

Progress

The new 3 storey office project for BGL in Peterborough is very near completion, with our site team working hard to complete this very prestigious project to a high standard.  Matt Cooper, Steve Connolly and Damian Mayes are on site, with office-based back up from Stuart Finlay and Darren Wallace. Good luck for a successful completion!

Works are ongoing at Wollaston to provide a new Baptist Church. Craig Spencer is the Project manager on site, with Bill Gardiner as QS and Darren Wallace Contracts Manager.

Tony Percival is on site at Hemel Hempstead for car park works to Hemel One. Paul Crawford is the QS and Darren Wallace Contracts Manager.

Staff News

We are pleased to announce the following staff news:

Richard Westcott has decided to step back from the role of Managing QS and Stuart Finlay has accepted the role. Many thanks Richard for your huge contribution and good luck Stuart in your new position.

Natalie Clarke has returned from maternity leave and resumes her role as Estimating Assistant.  Belinda Nicholson has agreed to stay on and help in the QS Dept with fine tuning the procedures.
